The Sunbabies and Mama Cloth!

In my previous post about my cloth diaper stash I stated that I would do a review on my Subaby pockets.  I have had plenty of time now to work with them and thoroughly try the out. First and major problem I encountered is probably my fault. The microfiber inserts were not absorbing very well after week 2. They held on to stink badly and it took tons of rinses to get soap out after each wash. Im sure this is no fault of Sunbaby. Mainly because my other inserts were doing it as well. I will state that the pockets are doing a lot better since I started stuffing with flats. I no longer have build up issues. My favorite thing about the Sunbaby is their cut. They fit my skinny almost 12 month old really well and even are made so they dont leak out the top when she decides to sleep on her tummy. At the moment that is all I got and I am sure I will have better stuff to say once I figure out my own washing issues.

On to my latest sewing project. I have made postpartum momma cloth! I used just two types of fabric; fleece and flannel. These are so soft I cant wait to try them out. Ok maybe I can wait LOL.

Update!!!

A lot has happened since my last post. Some good and some bad. Hey isn't that life. There are obstacles but as a mom I can't let them make me fall.
I will start by saying my husband and I have separated. I am not working and I was kicked out without any money to my name. So thanks to the genorosity of family and friends, my daughter and I are making the best of it.
While I am getting bad news out of the way I might as well update on my daughter. We found out she has an allergy to strawberries and peaches. On top of that when we recently tried whole milk she broke out in hives with extreme vomiting. We have switched her to soy formula which thankfully seems to be helping. She still breaks out randomly. I have been asked to keep a log of all foods she is eating and when she breaks up so maybe they can figure out a correlation.  Like I wasnt busy enough trying to find a job, keep myself healthy, and keep my daughter happy.
On a better note, my sweet daughter is turning a year old in just 4 more days. We are doing a small party with a "Hello Kitty" theme. I am going to be blowing up the blog with pictures the day after.  I cant believe how fast they grow up.

On to the pregnancy! I am 16 weeks and 4 days along!! Even better the gender scan ultrasound is set up for July 5th. Of course I will post the picture and reveal to you all as soon as I know!

I would like to give thanks to my support system! They are amazing even though they are busy mommas themselves. I am tired and I will be on tomorrow to show my awesome amazing Postpartum Cloth Pads I made all on my own.
